Toronto Aikikai together with Brampton Aikikai are happy to invite you and your child to participate in the first of two Children Aikido Seminars planned for 2011, the first one in June at Brampton Aikikai and the second one in September at Toronto Aikikai.

Classes - The first seminar will take place on Sunday June 12, and children, their parents, Aikido students and instructors from both dojos will be participating in three fun-filled Aikido classes, two in the morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am and from 11:15 to 12:15 pm, followed by a lunch break from 12:15 until 1:00 pm and then an Aikido and Games class from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. All classes are open to children, their parents, dojo members and visitors, and no previous experience is required. All classes (Children and Beginners/Youth) normally scheduled at Toronto Aikikai are cancelled that day.

Instructors - The classes will be taught by the Children Class instructors from both dojos, including Brian, Yelitza, Basia, Slawek and myself from our dojo and Tony, Ray and Richard from Brampton Aikikai. Advanced students from both dojos are welcome to assist with the instruction.

Cost - The cost for participation in the seminar is $25, which includes the classes and lunch.

Lunch - Lunch will be from 12:15 to 1:00 pm, and will consist of pizza, snacks, oranges, juice and anything else parents may bring. Lunch is included in the cost of the seminar, and if you are a parent and will come but will not be participating in the classes, please consider bringing something to contribute to the lunch. If the weather is nice the lunch will be outdoors, otherwise it will be indoors. Please let us know if your child has a food allergy of any type.

Directions - The seminar will take place at Brampton Aikikai, which is located in the Martial Arts room of the Terry Miller Recreation Center, 1295 Williams Parkway, at the corner with Bramalea Road. To get there from the dojo, take the Gardiner Expressway to Hwy 427 North, then the 401 West to Hwy 410 North and exit at Williams Parkway East.
